Yearly Breakdown of World Championship Finals

2019: Nova Esports EU

The inaugural Brawl Stars World Championship took place on November 15 and 16, 2019, at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center in South Korea. Nova Esports EU fielded SpenLC, Tom, and Cerulean. The European squad swept Japanese lineup Animal Chanpuru 3–0 in the final match, securing the top prize of $250,000 from a total pool of $250,000.

2020: PSG Esports

The 2020 championship was scheduled for Katowice, Poland, but shifted to an online format on November 21 and 22, 2020, due to pandemic restrictions. PSG Esports, representing Southeast Asia with CoupDeAce, Relyh, Response, and Scythe, faced Latin American squad INTZ. PSG took the series with a clean 3–0 sweep to claim the $200,000 first-place share of a $1,000,000 prize pool.

2021: ZETA DIVISION

Held at Bucharest, Romania, from November 26 to 28, 2021, the third edition expanded to 16 teams. The Japanese roster of ZETA DIVISION, featuring Sitetampo, Achapi, Tensai, and Mameshi, defeated NAVI 4–1 in the grand final. The organization collected $400,000 from the baseline $1,000,000 prize structure.

2022: ZETA DIVISION ZERO

The 2022 tournament unfolded at Disneyland Paris from November 25 to 27, 2022. The event concluded in a rare organizational showdown between ZETA DIVISION ZERO and ZETA DIVISION ONE. The ZERO lineup of Achapi, Tensai, and Kuru beat Sitetampo, Moyagoku, and Ken-G by a 4–1 margin, awarding the squad $400,000.

2023: ZETA DIVISION

At DreamHack Winter in Jönköping, Sweden, held November 24 to 26, 2023, ZETA DIVISION fielded an entirely new European roster consisting of GeRo, MeOw, and Nowy297. They competed against North American finalist STMN Esports, winning the match 3–1. The victory brought ZETA its third consecutive organizational world title and a $250,000 payout.

2024: HMBLE

The 2024 World Finals took place during Superfest at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Center in Finland from November 1 to 3, 2024. European trio HMBLE, composed of Symantec, BosS, and Lukii, matched up against Crazy Raccoon. HMBLE swept the final 3–0, earning the championship belt and $400,000 before a peak live audience exceeding one million viewers.

2025: Crazy Raccoon

At DreamHack Stockholm from November 28 to 30, 2025, Crazy Raccoon met HMBLE in a grand final rematch. The Crazy Raccoon roster featured Moya, Tensai, and Milkreo. Crazy Raccoon reversed the prior year's result by sweeping HMBLE 3–0, with Milkreo earning Grand Final MVP honors and the squad securing $400,000.

Roster Records and Multi-Title Competitors

Tensai holds the record for the most individual world titles in Brawl Stars history, having earned championship rings in 2021 with ZETA DIVISION, 2022 with ZETA DIVISION ZERO, and 2025 with Crazy Raccoon. Achapi stands as a two-time champion through back-to-back victories under the ZETA banner in 2021 and 2022.

At the club level, ZETA DIVISION remains the only organization to claim three world trophies, winning across both East Asian and European squads between 2021 and 2023. HMBLE and Crazy Raccoon have sustained the rivalry at the top of the scene, meeting in consecutive grand finals in 2024 and 2025 before qualifying for the world finals 2026 in Tokyo.

In competitive match play, teams pick and ban brawlers to counter opponent compositions, making the pre-game draft phase a decisive factor across set rotations.

Tournament Format Progression and Payouts

The competitive format has shifted several times to balance regional representation:

  • 2019: 8 teams played single elimination across two days with a $250,000 prize pool.
  • 2020: 8 teams played single elimination online with a $1,000,000 prize pool.
