Brawl Stars Chaos Drop Odds, Splits, and Rewards Guide

A Brawl Stars Chaos Drop is an upgraded Starr Drop variant that cannot roll below Super Rare, splits into up to eight drops, and offers access to the Ultra rarity tier alongside Buffies and brawlers.

Chaos Drop Mechanics and Rarity Odds

Introduced alongside the Buffies progression system, Chaos Drops serve as a high-value alternative to standard Starr Drops. Unlike regular drops, which frequently settle on the Rare tier, a Chaos Drop has a floor of Super Rare and adds the Ultra rarity above Legendary.

Every drop rolls its rarity according to fixed official chances:

Rarity TierDrop ChanceTypical Frequency
Super Rare52.00%Roughly 1 in 2 drops
Epic28.00%Roughly 1 in 3.5 drops
Mythic12.00%1 in 8 drops
Legendary6.00%1 in 17 drops
Ultra2.00%1 in 50 drops

The presence of the Ultra tier makes Chaos Drops the exclusive drop type capable of providing Buffies directly. Overall, 20% of all Chaos Drops land on Mythic or higher, while 8% hit Legendary or Ultra.

Split Chances and Expected Value

Beyond higher base rarities, Chaos Drops feature a splitting mechanic. When opened, a single drop can divide into multiple copies. Crucially, all drops resulting from a split maintain the exact same rarity as the initial drop.

Supercell defines the split chances as follows:

OutcomeOccurrence ChanceTotal Drops Received
1 Drop (No Split)70.00%1
2 Drops20.00%2
4 Drops8.00%4
8 Drops2.00%8

Because of these split probabilities (0.70 × 1 + 0.20 × 2 + 0.08 × 4 + 0.02 × 8), an average Chaos Drop delivers roughly 1.58 individual rewards. The rarest outcome is an 8-way Ultra split, which carries a 0.04% probability, or roughly 1 in 2,500 opens.

Complete Reward Pool by Rarity

Each rarity tier pulls from a specific table of rewards. Super Rare and Epic outcomes focus primarily on account resources, Mythic introduces gadgets and characters, Legendary centers on star powers, and Ultra houses premium drops.
